Default Zealous bow! Salvage it?

I found a zealous recurve bow of shelter
8-11 piercing
10% dmg while above 50% hp
1 energy gain on hit
-1 energy regeneration
+4 armor to physical

Should i expert salvage it? or try to sell it by itself so another person can try and salvage it. O and what are the chances of me getting the weap mod?

Your odds of getting the upgrade are decent, you'll get either the zealous or the +4 armor. However, finding a buyer for a zealous upgrade wont be easy.

You always get a mod, but there's no telling which one if there's more than one on the weapon.

you have a chance and only a chance of getting the mod and a chance of getting materials instead of the mod

use an expert/superior (same results) salvage kit for a chance at the mods as a regular salvage will only salvage materials

You sure you used a superior salvage kit? AFAIK they always give the upgrade if there is one.

There's still a change to get materials, but multiple mods makes it a low chance I assume.

If you had to save to buy an exp salvage kit, use it only to try for decent mods on items. Use a regular kit on items that are "highly salvageable." Otherwise, don't bother salvaging until later in the game. Use your expert salvage kit on runes that apply to your primary profession. ID armors first to see if the rune pertains to your profession. If not, sell them to a merchant. If they are for your profession, expert salvage the rune out and use it (it will most likely be a minor rune in early areas of the game).

Not true. I went to get a mod off my hammer today and got iron ingots. Yes I used an expert kit

But with 100 uses in ONE inventory spot, you can carry more loot. The pricing is exactly the same, but to get the same effect, you need four expert kits.
